DIGITAL DOWNLOADS (mp3) NOW AVAILABLE

Great News! Topic Records with whom we recorded our very first 4 national and international available albums have now made them available as digital downloads either as the full albums, or as single track purchases. Just go to Amazon, Apple iTunes or other leading digital retailers to get yours. The titles are “From the North”, Seeing Double” “A Taste of Hotpot” and “The Blackbird” –  Vera`s solo album whom Maurice Rosenbaum of the Daily Telegraph voted it one of his albums of the year when it was released in 1977.

We are in the process of recording another album which hopefully should be available by the end of the year, but we will keep you posted! It will be entitled “One more bite of the cherry”

FOLK SONGS at THE OCTAGON 1969

In 1969 Gary & Vera Aspey were involved in a unique recording which was made at the Octagon Theatre in Bolton, Lancashire, engineered by Stan Whalley  testing out his “recording machine” and using just one single microphone. The result gave an unbelieveably excellent sound quality. Bernard Wrigley together with Dave Brooks were the instigators of the project, and now 44 years later, Bernard has re-mastered the recording making it available now as a download. The two hour double album (63 tracks), together with a 12 page pdf booklet, gives excellent value at just £4.99 and can be downloaded from Bernard`s website via the following link – http://bernardwrigley.com/post/69588499331
